A Winery has been fined AUD90,000.00 after an early guilty plea relating

to a 2009 site incident which saw a man seriously injured and left blind in one eye after a fall from a roof. The Industrial Magistrate called the incident 'forseeable and easily preventable'.

Falls make up approximately 20% of all workplace injuries. It is essential that all high risk operations, such as working at height, in or on confined spaces, are conducted in accordance with a well defined safe system of work and with stringent safety measures by persons who are properly trained and competent to complete specific tasks.

We are providing our essential nationally recognised safety training courses, on a modified basis, monitoring and observing ASQA, government and health recomendations including:

- limiting seats available
- additional sanitisation of training areas
- equipment disinfected after every use

Please attend your training course on the booked day & time, if you are well, but be sure to take these precautions:

- maintain at least a 1.5 metre gap from others
- wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- use hand sanitiser (available in training room)
- cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow or a tissue and dispose of tissues properly

Entry to our site for any purpose is strictly prohibited if you:
