Unique Student Identifier (USI)

From January 1st, 2015, all persons undertaking nationally recognised training courses will be required to provide a USI (Unique Student Identifier) in order to be enrolled and resulted.

As an employer, this means all participants enrolled will be required to provide this to RTO’s before a statement of attainment or qualification can be issued.

The USI keeps a participants’ training records and results together in an online account controlled by the participant and is easily accessible from a computer, tablet or smart phone.

Each time a participant enrols to study with a new training organisation, this USI will be used to store training records and results.

By having a USI participant’s will be able to access their training records and results (or transcript) whenever they need them, for example, when they enrol to study at a new training organisation.

Registering for your USI takes just a few minutes. Please find attached our handy guide to completing a registration here. We have made this available in word format so if you wish to edit or incorporate this into your own systems.

If you have any difficulty, please do not hesitate to contact us.
